Cable Routing Logic

Default cable routing method in Bentley Raceway and Cable Management is multi-layer. If no overrides are defined and no cable laying method selected in Raceway Router, all cables will be routed using multi-layer cable routing method.

Cable routing method can be selected in RW router and if defined it will overwrite the default multi-layer method.

Auto router will match cable and raceway routing filter (can be as simple as voltage levels) and use cable laying method defined in raceway router.

In addition to defining cable laying method in raceway router only, user can define cable laying method in RW router and cable list and auto router will look first for routing filer criteria (same voltage level for RW and cable) and then route cables only through raceways that have the same cable laying method defined as the cable of the same voltage level.
